Join us as we explore the city of Victoria, Canada - located at the southern tip of a massive rainforest island in the Pacific Ocean.  Using the power of Google Maps we'll conduct deep dives in urban planning and governance, development, architecture and architects, history and geography with photography and visitor tours thrown in at no extra charge.   It's here, it's unclear - let's go!

Before we begin, this city named after a Queen of England is the home and unceded territory of the lək̓ʷəŋən people, the Songhees, Esquimalt and W̱SÁNEĆ First Nations. Their history on this land goes back thousands of years with European colonization only beginning in 1843, which is important to consider when discussing and mapping Victoria's history, land, people, and culture.
